Grooming

Hey Guys!

Ever noticed that smiling man at the controls of the trail groomer?  Sure you have. And I know what you’re thinking.  “Wow, I wish I could be that guy.”

Ladies, have you noticed that handsome man making the trails as smooth silk?  Wish your guy, or even you, could do that.

Well now you can!  The Apple Country Snowmobile Club is looking for a few good men, or women, who would like to become groomer drivers.  This volunteer program has flexible hours, includes training and all the free scenery you can handle.

A typical day in the groomer starts around 7:00 at the snow park with a quick maintenance check and warming the cat up.  Then you are off to bash down the moguls and smooth one of several routes in our riding area.  Bring a lunch, and warm clothes.  If you would like to check it out, contact Cal Anderson to  schedule a ride-a-long to see if this is for you.   Once the snow comes, we run the groomer at least 5 days a week.

Nannum, Schaler, Stephans Pond, Jump off, Microwave, Elk Trail, Coleman, Boulder, Swift Creek are many of the trails groomed by Apple Country Snowmobile Club. To view maps and grooming days use the Washington State Park and trail map links on the rights side of this page.

Donations for “Friends of the Groomer” (groomer program) are always welcome:
